Face masks are brilliant. A hydrating face mask can turn your whole day around, benefit all skin types, and provide instant results. Mixable skincare means you no longer have to invest in extra products to reap the benefits of a face mask. Now you can make your own super-hydrating face mask treatment with the products you already have.
"A mask treatment can be a relaxing ritual or occasional treat, or can slot nicely into your skincare regimen."
Ok so here is a disclaimer: I’m a huge fan of face masks. Even when I was young, I associated face masks (complete with cucumber slices over the eyes) as synonymous with beauty and luxury. I suppose I imagined that that’s how film starts spent whole days; maintaining flawless beauty through rigorous, lengthy skincare regimes.
These days I’m a little more practical. Face masks can be a quick way of giving your skin some seriously deep hydration, as well as deep cleaning and unblocking pores. If you use a good all-natural face mask, it’ll leave your skin soothed and glowing, reconditioned and free of toxins. A mask treatment can be a relaxing ritual or occasional treat, or can slot nicely into your skincare regimen.
A good mask treatment isn’t just for celebs and spas. All skin types benefit, and masks are becoming increasingly popular with both men and women. Here are three reasons to try it yourself now.
Ritual And Relaxation
The first thing you’ll notice if you blend your own natural hydrating face mask, is how relaxing the whole experience can be. Most of us rarely set aside more time than is strictly necessary for skincare, but occasionally treating yourself to even a fifteen-minute face mask can relieve stress and help you to unwind.
Our hydrating face mask uses our natural Balancing Face Oil and Facial Cleanser. Both products contain only natural botanicals, and these essential oils and plant and herb extracts have aromatherapeutic benefits as well as seriously great effects on the health and appearance of skin. Applying the mask and breathing in the subtle, calming scent of the oil can transform your mood, and help you to punctuate an otherwise non-stop day.
Pores For Thought
While you’re relaxing (and feeling like a movie star), the mask is working away on your pores, giving your skin a deep conditioning, regenerating treatment. The jojoba, palmarosa oil and petitgrain in our cleanser tone and purify skin, removing dirt and oil and actively bringing out the toxins from below the surface. Letting the cleanser go to work for ten to fifteen minutes while you relax, means skin gets an extra kick and you really feel the difference as it works. The leaf and twig extracts in our cleanser means it works as a powerful antioxidant and fights dullness.
Bringing out dirt like this helps your pores to unclog, leaving them less visible and making your skin less prone to breakouts and oiliness.
Get On The Glow
Our mixable Hydrating Face Mask is blended using the Balancing Face Oil, which means it’s full of rich essential oils which are combined to give skin extra deep, rich hydration, and leave it brightened and toned. The argan oil, evening primrose and rice bran extracts in the oil, with the jojoba and petitgrain in the cleanser, leave surface skin cells regenerated, creating a brighter, plumper effect, while clearing away dead skin cells and sucking out excess oil.
As the mask hydrates your skin, it also extracts toxins, so that when you rinse it off you notice an instant boost in appearance, as the cells natural, healthy tone shines through.
This Is How We Do It
Mixable skincare is the future of skincare. Our Hydrating Face Mask is one of our five products that you can create at home by blending products you already have. If you haven’t tried mixing our products before, you could start with a Sample Set or even a Discovery Set to have a go yourself.
- Put 3-4 drops of the Balancing Face Oil with a little Face Cleanser in the palm of your hand and mix with your fingertips to create a hydrating face mask with a silky consistency.
- Smooth over your face and neck and leave for 10-15 minutes if possible, although less will work too.
- Rinse off with warm water or a damp face cloth.
Simple as that!
